Wow. This place is a hidden gem. Small hole in the wall restaurant. The vibes, food, and beverages are amazing. Sometimes they have a DJ. I brought my bf who is a meat eater, and he was very impressed with the vegan eats. We got a few mock-tails that were absolutely fantastic. I Love LOVE this place. Try out their incredible spreads and you'll realize that you need more fermentation in your life. It's not weird, it's creative and balanced, surprising and familiar, delicious and honest. Real whole ingredients (their wild mushrooms are spectacular), house made fermented foods, crafted teas and beers, all vegan, all made with passion, all good for your body and soul. Cozy spot for inventive fermented drinks and eats. Some products are available for purchase like their fermented hot sauce. Kombucha on tap was lovely (Fever Dream) and the Loose Leaf craft beer was both delightfully floral. Try the tapenade. Highly recommend! Happy hour from 4 to 6pm Wed to Fri. Loved all the food we had here - We had the bean burger, funk bowl, the spread platter and chips with cashew cheese. All of these were unique and tasty. Tasted the kombucha as well.

great menu selection with options for vegan and gluten free. the menu is thought out, flavorful, and overall makes you feel good. great selection of beers and non-alcoholic mocktails and drinks as well. staff is friendly and helpful for finding the right thing for you. some of the drinks are an “acquired taste” as they taste “hoppy” but everything is local and well crafted.

This place is a total gem! On our visit to Tillamook, we stopped at this tasting room and found it a place to "must visit".
We did not know what to order, so we started a conversation about the offerings with our very informative host. We tasted a couple of their beers, and we were impressed.
It impressed me so much, that I returned to get a few bottles to bring home with me to share with my small  brewery loving friends at home.

Wow. After our first visit, we can't wait to return. The beer is EXCELLENT. There is a wide variety and in each beer you can taste the high quality ingredients and care that went into each brewing.
Starting lighter, their Saisons were bright with a variety of flavors and an awesome aftertaste. I'm not an IPA drinker, but our friends were swooning over them as well. And their two stouts were both impressive too: not bitter but clean and fully flavored and down right delicious.
We'll be back for the beer but also to hang out in the awesome location that is inviting and relaxing. Great owners who care about their beer and customers. Go support this brewery!!

Crazy how busy this place was on a Wed evening. Had been here a few times before with no one in the place. Great selection of 22 beers, ciders and hard seltzers on tap from all over CA. So much outdoor seating to enjoy the evening weather. Friendly beertenders and dog friendly.

Great spot for craft beer lovers! 🍻 This location has an excellent beer selection, with something for every palate — IPAs, sours, stouts, you name it. Staff is super friendly and helpful if you're not sure what to try.

Highly recommend the beer flight if you want to sample a few options without going overboard (drink responsibly, folks 😄).

One of the best things: it's BYOF – bring your own food! So grab something from the nearby restaurants and enjoy it here with a pint.

I recently purchased a beer here and it ended up being delicious. This is likely the top beer / bottle shop in Campbell. They almost always have Humble Sea, Alvarado, Cellarmaker in house and sometimes other local gems like Sante or Moksa. Good spot for Rare Barrel and Yeast if Eden bottles as well and sometimes De Garde too.

First time checking out this brewery. The churro beer was really unique and worth trying. I expected the passionfruit hard seltzer to be more sour than sweet but it was really sweet. Visited this past Thursday for the third time.  As usual the brewery is like a sauna inside sweltering hot inside and all the beer is warm.  Nothing worse than warm beer especially drinking IPAs and stouts.  Food vendors are the best part!  Hopefully you can fix your refrigeration system and install some air conditioning so people will stay.  I've noticed most people come and buy beer in cans cuz it's probably colder lol

While we waited for our food we played games, and spent time outside in the covered seating. Our 5 and 3 year old were preoccupied with the games, and we had a lot of fun.

I liked the place, we need more brewery’s in the area. I like the beers that I tried (red ale and a hazy IPA). The IPA I had was not overly hopped which was great and more sessions like.
The prices were very good for the brews as you can see from the price list. The pretzel was very good, my wife said it was better than the one I brought back from Munich Oktoberfest a few years ago.
My kids liked the cinnamon bites, sodas for them were reasonable.
I will definitely be back, has a good atmosphere both inside and at the outdoor seating area.
Of note it's at the back of a parking lot but only has a few assigned spots their so be aware parking at the establishment could be an issue.

We discovered this spot through their peanut butter and jelly sour beer, which sadly they no longer brew. This time, we visited because my wife has gotten turned on to fresh hop IPAs, which are hard to find because they require that the hops be added within 24 hours after being picked. My wife liked hers and they had enough non-IPA beers for me. The beers were good. I would prefer a bit more variety, such as some sours, or dark ales, or more than one stout, but I can only drink two beers at the most anyway. The bartender said they are going to release a sour soon, so we'll check back for that.

What made it one of my most enjoyable nights out in a long time was the friendly staff and  laid-back atmosphere. We brought our card games and ate good food from the food truck and listened to an interesting variety of music from a decent sound system. There was indoor seating, but we sat out in the brewery warehouse area which was open to the outdoors and had a big TV. There was also a patio area, and both it and the warehouse were pet friendly. Narrative has a Facebook page on which they post their events and food truck vendors. They appear to have a good variety throughout the week. We will definitely be back.

We came from out of town just to visit this market. (An hour and a half, drive time) Read a few reviews on the restaurants, but not too much said about the whole market itself. So, I wanted to review the market as a whole. I'll try, I mean. Arrived 10 minutes before doors were opened. Seems like a good neighborhood/area of San Jose. Plenty of parking when we arrived at 10:45am.
*Free parking for the first 90 minutes, large parking garage, we ended up paying $3 for the extra 30-40 minutes afterward. We walked halfway around the block, and everything outside was kept clean and pleasing to the eyes.
There was a coffee shop already open and taking customers, especially love the outdoor seating. Saw a few dogs on leashes. Their main website says dogs allowed, they just need to be well-behaved.
*Two main food courts. Both courts have their own ambiance. One seems more dimmed and busier while the other was more open (bigger as well) stalls spaced more apart. Surprisingly, both courts had bars. One had a full service bar while the other mainly focused on craft beers, micro brew & IPA's on tap. This bar had canned beers too if there wasn't anything on tap you didn't like.
There is plenty of outside seating area from four tops to benches to seating for 6-8 people. Tables and booths inside market area too.
*Bathrooms- 4 of them situated around the market. And each had 3-6 stalls per bathroom.
*Security was present. They seemed vigilant and were always walking around.
*18-20 stalls of food, drinks, and snack stands to pick from. Asian, Mexican, pizzeria, American food to coffee, tea and boba drinks to pick from.

Well put together micro brewery, located in San Jose with excellent beer offerings, an amazing ambience, occasional food trucks, ample parking, and generally just a great place to go on a lazy weekend or weekday. This is a brewery located in what seems like an open hanger and has an amazing set up.

They have offering severe ranging from IPAs to loggers to sours, to anything you can imagine. Everything we tried here was excellent. The prices were actually really generous too. They don’t offer much food at the bar, but a food truck alleviated that concern.

While we were there a Colombian style food truck pulled up and started offering a bunch of food directly at the door. This was an amazing experience and the food was good. It complemented the beer. We got French fries and crema topped with hot dogs and cheese. Amazing.

They also have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with board games to play for free. We ended up playing dominos for an hour or so. They allow dogs, and it’s right alongside a railroad so you can sit down sipping a beer and watch all the trains pass by. Great place.

This is more like a taproom, and they have beer from a variety of different local breweries. You can even buy beer to go. Hi Lou recommended especially if you’re going to be doing Los Gatos for a day, we started here and ended up walking up the street to try different places.

There’s not a lot of seating, but there’s enough to accommodate most people. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up sitting outdoor and this was pretty cool because we could see all the traffic going into Los Gatos and got to people watch while drinking beer. It was a kinda nice experience.

The service was extremely friendly and super knowledgeable about all the different beer that they had to offer. There’s something for everyone here. They have ciders, IPAs, loggers, and other offerings.

Highly recommend recommended. We just came here for a beer, but I could easily see me returning and grabbing a few more.

My first time here was great. My partner ordered many beers and I had some good NA options. Service was super friendly.
Second visit, different worker and he couldn’t even make eye contact. Also wasn’t going to give me change and just kept it for a tip (my tip was 20% already). Clearly this place is popular or maybe that it was a Sunday that we picked for dinner. It’s a pretty big restaurant and my best guess can easily seat about 100 plus when full. It’s got a fully stacked bar and they are famous for the beer shots (rather beer in small glasses. The one we sampled was 6 different types of beer served up front in a single tray. You better reserve a table eye it’s going to be a long wait. The staff is friendly and the service is great. But somehow I came away not exactly over the moon - or maybe what I ordered isn’t the taste that I am used to. The only thing I remember that tasted great was the spicy edamame that paired perfectly with the beer. The jambalaya was quite the disappointment- I’ve had much better. Great Beers & Appetizers at Yard House – Santana Row

Stopped by Yard House at Santana Row with a friend for a casual afternoon hangout, and overall it was a solid experience. The atmosphere is lively and modern—perfect for grabbing drinks, catching a game, or just people-watching in the heart of San Jose’s upscale Santana Row.

We ordered one of their signature yard-long beers, which comes in a tall, narrow glass that definitely turns heads. While it’s not literally a yard long, it’s close—around 32 oz—and makes for a fun experience if you’re looking to split with someone or just go big. The beer was cold, fresh, and they have a great rotating tap selection. I appreciated the variety—from IPAs to lagers and seasonal brews.

For appetizers, we went with the nachos and chicken wings. The nachos were loaded and came out hot—crispy chips piled high with melted cheese, black beans, jalapeños, tomatoes, and a generous dollop of guac and sour cream. Definitely good for sharing and surprisingly filling.

The wings were also solid—crispy outside, juicy inside. We went with a classic flavor (Buffalo, I believe), and it hit the spot. Not mind-blowing, but exactly what you’d expect from a quality sports bar-type spot. If I had more room, I probably would’ve explored more of their menu, because there’s a lot of variety—burgers, tacos, even poke nachos.

Service was friendly and relatively quick, even though the place was decently packed. Our server checked in at the right times and kept things flowing without being intrusive.

The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that while everything was good, nothing really stood out as exceptional or uniquely memorable. It’s reliable and hits all the right notes, but doesn’t quite push into “must-visit” territory for me. That said, I’d absolutely come back, especially for happy hour or game day.

Pro tip: If you go during peak hours, expect a bit of a wait. But Santana Row is a great place to walk around while you wait for your table.

This is my local post-work happy hour spot. Not much to choose from on the Alameda. Great beers on tap. Service depends on the day. Surprisingly large and airy space. If you like IPAs, this is the place to go. Their menu was mostly IPAs when I visited. I'm not an IPA fan, but I ordered the Italian Campione which is an Italian pilsner made with three different types of hops. It was crisp and cool and fantastic. There are many different areas to sit at, bench tables, high tables, sofa etc.

Blink and you’ll miss this elevated, second story taproom located above Whole Foods. I dropped in around 6 on a Wednesday and the place was poppin like the face of a teenager that just hit puberty. Luckily I was able to order relatively quickly and even luckier, I found a seat that overlooked the intersection with a view of the San José Shark arena, the fabled Shark Tank. The weather was great. The crowd was animated. The bartenders were tag teaming the line like the iconic WWE champs The Hart Foundation. And the Riwaka Juice Double IPA and Textured Shapes Triple IPA were delicious, golden sun goddess kisses to my lips.

Garlic fries were excellent!  Much better than Flames on 4th St, and also better than City Fish.  But not as good as Gordon Biersch was before they moved away.

With the continuing surge in alternative restaurant options luring people away from downtown (the new eateries in Japantown to the north, the new microbreweries open in the south, all the new San Jose State University food court expansions to the east, and the new Whole Foods cluster of eateries on the Alameda to the west) more lower-end eateries downtown are closing, and more upscale restaurants are coming in, to cater to the people in the new hotel expansions and all the new condo towers that keep popping up.

It is against this backdrop that my menu items were found to be wanting: For example, the lamb skewer was only $2.50. But though the tongue finds the lamb to be awesome, the stomach declares the hunger hasn't subsided enough. One of the possible ways to address this might be to up the $2.50 price to $3.75, and add a mini-potato and/or other root vegetable onto the skewer, to increase the feeling of fullness.

Because parking is such a hassle downtown, patrons will often have to walk past other bars and restaurants to get to the one they want. The garlic fries are great, but IMO, could use a bit more of a tweak, to turn it into a culinary version of a "killer app."  See photo:

Farmers union is a great restaurant by San Pedro Square. The service was attentive and very helpful in recommending different craft beers to try based on beer style and provided samples if requested. The bartender was very nice which listened to what we like to drink and suggested prefect beers for us. My wife and I both enjoyed our drinks!

I’ve traveled all over California trying craft beers. I don’t remember the last time I left a 1-star review.

When I asked for a splash (less than 1/2 oz) of 2 different beers, the bar tender at this brewpub Anthony refused. He said I could have 1. I wanted to make sure I was getting the right beer, especially at the price of $10 per pint. This is the first time I’ve EVER been refused a splash, less than a tablespoon of beer to ensure I was getting the right beer. I could understand if I was getting 3-5 ounces of beer, but a splash, REALLY?

The poor service absolutely affected his tip unfortunately. And, when I normally have great experiences at breweries and brewpubs all over the state, AND definitely leave reviews at them…this one earned a negative review. I’d give zero stars if I could.
