Who knew you could order lunch at Dunderbacks?! We’ve been here many times for dinner and it’s always great. They serve authentic German food and a huge beer list. We went for lunch on a Thursday and they were busy but not crowded. Food, beer, and service were all great as usual. Check out the back of the menu sometime, you’ll thank me. In addition to their regular menu they offer about a dozen special sandwiches or you can make your own from the deli. Highly recommend stopping for lunch

Authentic German beer house! Sit at the bar and you can find at least 33 beers on tap. I ordered the Yeager schnitzel mushroom gravy, warm German potato salad and a rattler which is a fruit beer. Lucky for me I came early enough to get the first tap on the keg! My husband always goes for a light wheat beer. The accordion player has been there for 20 years, he is delightful. I have a European background so I’m excited to go there often. They have cookies, cakes and candies for my childhood as well as many beers from my youth. The little ladybugs pictured are made of marzipan. I have several favorites and each time I do bring them home. Service is always great. Don’t forget to visit the beer room where you can look through all the authentic beers in bottles for purchase. Usually we sit inside, but there is outdoor seating as well.

OMG! I haven’t visited since they were in the University Mall. Why? I have no clue but we will be back way more frequent.

Visited on a Sat and it was FANTASTIC! Decor is wonderful, service was impeccable & the food was AMAZING!

After we ate, we did some shopping for some sweets. They have so much to choose from!

Beer cheese soup, pierogies & the New Yorker were amazing. The food was even better than I remember.

Jared was in our server who was fantastic.

Parking can be tight so plan ahead. We parked right in front with no issue during our visit.

I visited for lunch again. This popular spot near the USF Tampa campus has a pretty good selection of beers, especially Europe and German ones. I had the JÄGERSCHNITZEL  with Hunter gravy and sauerkraut and SPÄTZLE as sides. The service was quick and efficient. The drinks came out right away and the food wasn't a long wait either. The food is good and dependable. I will be visiting again soon.

Dunderbak’s has been a local staple for years and there are reasons for that:

- Beer. But not just beer— beer in giant glass steins.
- Some of the best German/Austrian dinner offerings. You can get seven variations of schnitzel here, and that’s not even a quarter of their menu. There’s so much to choose from.
- The vibes here are nostalgic and welcoming. Yes, the interior is cheesy to some. But I happen to love cheese, so pile it on. To me, the German decor and density in the room makes this feel like a place where you can always find a friend or have quality time with the ones you came with.
- And so you don’t leave empty handed, they have all sorts of imported candies, cookies, and culinary accoutrements available for purchase.

Something I’d like to note here, because I see it as a common complaint: This place gets very busy— even parking, so keep that in mind. And when it gets busy you may have to wait for your server. I suggest that this is the sort of place you’ll want to come to when you have plenty of time to sit and enjoy your meal & beverages.

Also, if you are not a social person, this place will not be for you. The open seating and long tables are inherently designed to encourage interaction. It’s abuzz with joviality, music, and casual banter. I personally love the atmosphere but I know this is not the case for everyone.

That being said, please come and have a great time, be patient with your servers, and enjoy the live music. It’s like Oktoberfest every day!

It’s a cool brewery!! Love this place !! They have 3 different dining areas that suit for your comfortable to have your meals, either in dining room , outside bar or at the hall bar while they have a live band performing. We went there last night to see the a tribute band of Guns of Roses - welcome to distraction was very entertaining! The sound was great and the food really tastefully! We ordered Parmesan Brussels was amazing 🤩 and the Steak & Ale was delicious too. Great place !! And also they have Cider , A black widow cider , I don’t like a cider but when I tried it’s so good !! Thumbs up 👍

Went last night for the first time. Experience was awesome.  Great atmosphere.  The sheppards pie was the best I've ever had. After dinner we had tickets for the Phil Collins/Genesis  tribute band. They were awesome. The lead singer Nick looked and sounded just like Phil Collins, a pleasant surprise.  I highly recommend you checking them out in the Tampa, Florida area.

My mom and I went yesterday. I Highly recommend an old fashioned with their local whiskey, a scotch egg, sausage roll and the Brie. We ordered to go a shepherds pie that rivaled my step dads moms. About to dig into the fish and chips. It was such great food! Alex was an amazing bartender and ended up getting a little busy but made sure we didn’t feel like it. This restaurant is for sure a hidden gem!

Amazing English pub! We’ve been here a few times and will be going back. Food is always great, service amazing, beer and drinks fantastic. Love this place so much. They even turned one of the tvs to the game we wanted even though it wasn’t the ‘big game’. Keep doing the great things and providing that amazing service. Love it!

First, I love this brewery, there's no place like it in Tampa and I'm a long time patron. Three stars after last night's ticketed music experience though. Similar to what "Adriana" posted 2 months ago, we showed up when doors opened for a little dinner before show. We were some of the first ones in. We put our table light on and were ignored for quite a while. I finally walk up to bar where 2 young ladies continued to walk past and ignore me...the one young girl complaining about something loud enough for me to hear her. Went back to my table, stood up to get better attention and then watched as two tall men walked in, sat down and were immediately presented with a waitress who began bringing them beer sample after beer sample. When I went to ask the very nice gentleman at the door how I can get service, he jumped to personally help me and was very apologetic. He was fantastic. But one of the young females (the same one I overheard complaining at the bar earlier) pops over and says to the man helping us in a chilly tone with absolutely no warmth or kindness, "Im here now sorry." So she apologized to him, but not us. She never smiled, never gave her name and just seemed like she has no businesses waiting tables. This was a special occasion for my guest last night and I felt embarrassed by the opening service we received. Once the music got rolling we got a much nicer, more attentive waitress.
