This was an amazing spot to relax and hang out! The atmosphere was perfect—not too loud, with an incredible ambience that made it so enjoyable. There were puzzles and board games for kids, free arcade games, and so many fun things to see. The menu was impressive, offering a wide variety of beers on tap, seltzers, THC-infused drinks, and plenty of non-alcoholic options. Plus, there was a completely separate food menu! On top of all of that, the service was fantastic— friendly, attentive and truly added to the experience.  I can’t recommend checking this place out enough.

Cool space for sure! Easy parking, lots of seating, pet friendly. When I went they didn’t have a sour which was a bit of a bummer, but the beer we had was good. Would be a good space for a game night with friends or group gathering.

The Bartenders and Owner are super nice and always accommodating.  This place has a great selection of beer, wine and other drinks on tap and in cans. It was a nice Monday evening. We were going here for a friends birthday. My first time and was pleasantly surprised. They had a sweet layout. Plenty of outdoor seating with heat lamps. Inside was a huge selection of craft beer (very expensive)

We stopped here to cool down with a nice cold beer and grab some water for our dog.  The service was great and the staff was friendly.

They only had ciders and seltzers that were gluten free though. I would have given them another star if they had at least some gluten free or gluten reduced beer offerings.

The music playing was also a little too loud and aggressive for our taste. It made it difficult to actually hold a conversation, and we were sitting outside.

We went for a late dinner, and I was so impressed! The chicken and rice soup was good, but I took one bite of the chicken and bacon sandwich one pressed sourdough and abandoned it completely. Wow was the sandwich delicious! I ate every bite and didn’t even offer my husband a taste!

Our favorite brewery and a hidden gem in NC! We have driven multiple hours to get a taste of these always-rotating brews! Absolutely love this place! Altered State Brewing has become a favorite stop while my daughter’s at dance nearby. Becca was amazing super friendly and made great recommendations. Every beer I’ve tried has been solid, but I’m especially a fan of their sour selection so good. Very family and pet friendly spot! The service is always amazing. Staff members are super knowledgeable about their beer and can answer just about any question you throw at them. There’s a wide variety of brews, so you’ll find something for whatever you’re into.

They also have a great selection of board games, card games, and brain puzzles available to play while you hang out. We’ve stopped by during one of their “game nights” before and had a blast—there was limbo and bingo. Highly recommend catching one if you can!

I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile, so it was lucky that they were next door to the place we had lunch.

I wasn't sure if they were going to have anything gluten free for me besides wine, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they had a cider as well as one of the beers from Armored Cow in Charlotte. Free comedy night was a lot of fun. The staff was friendly. Tasting before buying your beer is awesome! I was able to pick a brew I loved and was eager to try more.
Tiny drawbacks are it was hard to hear the comedians. The best seats for hearing were occupied by recording cameras. Boo. The only other negative was not having table service while the comedians were performing.
Bottom line, I'll be back on the 3rd Thursday every month to enjoy the brew and banter.

Brewery Bhavana was a great restaurant that checked the box on mini things. The place was nice and clean, the layout and design was great and included a bar area and more of a formal sitting area. This place is more than meets the eye; not only is it a distillery, it's also a bookstore, flower shop, and dim sum restaurant! We had a great time here for a hang out dinner on Saturday night. The menu is sectioned out so you can either do small plates for the table (dim sum) or entrees for individual dining. And all of it is outstanding. The food is made with care and Pride, the ingredients are fresh and of quality too. Courses can be staggered so you can settle in for the whole experience.

The edamame dumplings were shockingly good. I was not expecting them to be the standout dish of the evening. The mooncakes are also just, ugh, chef’s kiss. Anything with bao is a must and the duck was so succulent and crispy. If you do order the duck, let them know early on because it does take a while to prepare.

You definitely want to get reservations ahead of time though! Sometimes you can squeeze in a same day res, but planning ahead is the way to go to make sure you get to eat at your preferred time.

It is a great place to visit the first time. I am not sure if I want to come back. The quality of the food was just OK, nothing crazy in reference to flavor and nice presentation. We ordered the duck egg rolls and they tasted not fresh, like fried from from the fridge...also we tried The Char Siu Bau, (Cantonese bbq pork steamed buns) these were kind of surprisingly good and the coconut cake for desert was fine. We walked in with high expectations, but the experience was completely disappointing.

As our food was being served, the runner casually said, “We don’t have the pasta for the kids’ meal.” That kind of information should be communicated well before the food comes out—not when everyone else is already being served. Leaving a child without a meal while the rest of the table eats is unacceptable. What made it worse was the complete lack of accountability. No apology. No effort to correct the issue. Just silence. That’s unprofessional and shows poor judgment on both the manager’s and server’s part.

Then came the bill. We were charged for kids’ drinks and extra sauces that we never ordered. The kids’ menu made no mention of drink prices, yet when I raised the issue, the waiter simply said, “We always charge $3 for a kids’ cup,” with zero explanation or effort to clarify. Again—no apology, no transparency, and no attempt to make it right.

On top of the poor service, the food itself was nothing special. I ordered the burger, and it was by far the worst burger I’ve ever had. The meat was completely unseasoned, tough, and had an overpoweringly gamy taste. It was also served to my cold.

From start to finish, this experience was a letdown. Between the poor communication, unprofessional service, inaccurate billing, lack of accountability, and terrible food, I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Super nice brewery in the heart of Raleigh. Very relaxed, the beer was great. I had a tasting flight (would highly recommend) and one of the barkeeps came by to ask how it was. When I mentioned I didn’t particularly care for one of the beers, he exchanged it for a different one that was much more to my taste. Would definitely come back here, ideally with a group of friends, but never felt odd as a solo visitor.

I loved the decorations they had up for the holidays! I wish the bartender had been more inviting and friendly - not just transactional. I got the Pilsner but it was definitely more piney than I’ve ever experienced for a Pilsner. I’ll need to come back in the future and try other brews!

We spent the night using Harvest host in our RV. The staff was exceptionally kind, nice, and very helpful and get us set up. The beers were especially good. My wife enjoyed the Pilsner and I enjoyed a massive selection of IPAs. We will definitely be back again.

Raleigh Brewing has a delicious selection of beer, there's wine, seltzers, and also non alcoholic beverages including kombucha, and their own root beer! Raleigh Brewing has remained our favourite spot since moving here. I can not say enough about how great their staff is, we look forward to seeing the staff whenever we are there. I go to Raleigh Brewing at least once a week and this is a ritual I've had for years. I love how friendly the bartenders and staff are. Beers are super solid. They are probably the most dog friendly brewery in Raleigh. I've been bringing my hound dog here since she was a pup and after 4 years it's still her favorite place. Now we're bringing our little pitbull pup too. I love how comfortable it feels to be here and I love all the events they put on. They have navigated the pandemic swimmingly as well. I would also recommend having parties in their event space. I had my husband's 30th birthday there a couple years ago and it was a great time. I highly recommend stopping here! 💗

We came for a st pats day performance by the Gaelic Ails and had a stellar time! The outdoor section has plenty of picnic tables and umbrellas for shade, as well as chairs around bonfires and a larger shelter area. Cool bar and loved the decor. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The Barleywine was not good however—it was only my second time trying Barleywine (first was at a dive bar in NYC, and it was the best alcoholic drink I had ever had). The Barleywine here was not sweet nor sour and tasted much more like a double IPA. Not sure if there are a lot of variations of Barleywine, but it did not come close to the drink I had in NYC.

I went on a Sunday afternoon, and there were plenty of tables available. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and I didn’t like that the first time the presentation was well done, but the second time I ordered it, the presentation changed—for example, it didn’t come with the double cherry or the orange slice. Lovely atmosphere, attentive service, and tasty food. Hummus tasted amazing - way better than it looks - with a smooth creaminess and fresh pita on the side. Chicken schnitzel was crisp and the flavors were exciting, although the chicken was just a bit over. The salmon was delicious with the blackened seasoning and black rice pairing perfectly with mango salsa. The best dish of the night was the hangar steak. I visited Wye Hill for the first time for an early dinner with a friend. The outside patio was pretty popular, so we decided to sit inside which was quite empty, but we didn't mind. The dining room was very small, but cute. We ordered the everything brussels and dill pickle pimento cheese to share. For the entree we both ordered the black rice gran bowl, one with blackened salmon and the other blackened shrimp.

One thing I can say about the food, is that looks can be deceiving. When the food came out everything looked amazing, however there was a lack in flavor. The brussel sprouts came out to chared and the bottom of the bowl was filled with grease. We did enjoy the pimento cheese, but wanted to save room for our entree. The entree's were just okay. Not memorable! I think a sauce to go on top would have helped a lot.

Fun place to meet up with a group of friends. This is really more about the environment than the quality of the food or drinks. We celebrated my birthday at Standard Beer + Food in Raleigh, and it turned out to be one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in the area!

We visited this place with high hopes. However, it turned out to be a dud. We got a place to sit as soon as we went in as it was a Thursday.

We ordered a lot of stuff - 8 Buffalo Wings, Meat Lovers Pizza, Caesar's Salad, Filet Slider and Cheesy Fries for starters. The wings were okay and so was the pizza. We came for the drag brunch event, excited for a fun show and good food—but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall.

The service and food were the biggest letdowns. Our original server was kind and attentive, and the drinks we did get were delicious. But right before the show started, she told us she had to go bartend downstairs and closed out our tab, saying another server would take over. No one ever did. We waited 45+ minutes for a pretzel and cheese fries, and I had to go downstairs just to get a status update on our food. When it finally arrived, the fries were not made according to the menu description—they were missing the pork belly and ranch, and were topped with thick, clumpy cheese sauce.

I brought them to the bar, and the bartender said she’d have them fixed. What came back was cold pork belly bites on top, a little more of the same clumpy cheese, and still no ranch. No one checked on us for the rest of the brunch event, and we would’ve gladly ordered another round—but we were never given the opportunity.

The drag performers themselves were fantastic—talented, vibrant, and so much fun to watch. The only downside was the layout, which split the audience into two disconnected sections. I’d love to see this event held in the courtyard next time so the queens can interact more easily with the whole crowd.
