We are so lucky to have Dynamite Brewing close to home. The beer is great and selection of taps available is extensive, something for everybody. We are gathering friends for game night and headed back Sat for live music. The high tech misting system and shade outside make for a rare and comfortable conversation in the summer. In a back corner of Uptown Plaza is a new tap room and brewery called Dynamite Beer Company. The company started in Cave Creek and has since expanded and recently took over the Huss Brewing location in uptown Phoenix.

Currently, Dynamite Beer Company is a tap room and restaurant but they are working on brewing their own beers to add into their mix of taps. You have to have your own beer if you're going to call yourself a beer company, right?

The uptown location carries over much of the decor from the Huss days but thankfully there have been some nice upgrades, including new chairs (so much better than the old ones) and a new, fantastic menu.

My family and I decided to swing by on a random Sunday after a long day of house chores and the place was hopping. In addition to the crowd checking out the beer company, there was also some live music (Jesse Valenzuela from the Gin Blossoms was there, sooooooo awesome). We grabbed a table (seat yourself) and scanned the QR codes to check out the current beer selection. Wait-staff came by shortly after and gave us the food menus as well. The staff was very friendly even considering the packed crowd they had that afternoon. Dynamite had an "extra" outdoor area setup that day, which was great considering how many people were there.

My daughter got a kids pizza, my wife got the Chicken Pesto Wrap, and I ordered the Italian Grinder. We each (except the kid) ordered a beer as well, Pure Project Brewing's Ship Full Sail, which is inspired by ESB beers from the UK.

The food was excellent and we both were excited to eat the chips that came with out food. I don't know if they're the exact chips from the Huss days, but they certainly tasted like them (we love them). The beer was also fantastic and we both were happy to see that the beer menu wasn't 80% IPAs.

Dynamite also has a small wine selection. I personally would love to see some AZ wines added to the mix (and beers too) but the variety that they had when we stopped by should satisfy most people.

In all, my wife and I were really happy to see Mike running his own beer company as we've been patrons of the former Huss Brewing Company location since it opened (Mike helped launch + manage that location). We will definitely be back, especially in the summer when a cold beer and good food are all you're looking for.

Newly opened in the former Huss Brewing spot in Uptown Plaza. The grand opening was 3/22, but on this Sunday afternoon people were enjoying the 20 local brews on tap, some sunshine and good food.
We had the Feta cheese board which came with Meyer Lemon Jam and Marcona Almonds. We also had the Bee Sting Pizza.

This new place was clean with a great tap selection. Everything was great until I started grabbing stuff to go. Nearly every beer they had packs of they also had as singles to go, so I made a 4 pack. I was a bit surprised at how much my bill was, so I sent myself a receipt and saw that every can was priced at HALF of its respective pack. I had IPAs that were $13/can (minus my 10% mix pack discount), which is pretty outrageous. I asked my server about it after closing and she confirmed that those were the prices, then checked the 4-packs, which were mostly $26-28 each. I get that a bottle shop such as this will have some items costing more than say Total Wine, and I probably would have been ok if the cans were $8 or so but given how competitive this area is, to have their standard single can pricing so high is IMO a big issue for me.

I'm happy for the new space & business but this left a real sour taste in my mouth on
what was overall a good experience. Could I have gone through the rigimorale of returning 2 cans to get a 4 pack for the same price? Probably. But I was so taken aback by this cost I ended up just leaving. Hopefully this was a mistake from just opening and will be adjusted in the future.

Dynamite is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, taking over for the space Huss occupied. We would go to Huss occasionally but it was honestly a tad stale and quiet in the recent past. Dynamite has brought a new energy with regular plans for live music (which is so appreciated and has been amazing!). The pretzel with the feta whip is awesome and the selections of beer and wine have something for everyone. We are big fans of server Joey whom we knew from his days at sorso- he's always welcoming and quick to make us laugh. Definitely a place to check out and frequent!!

Love it! Alot of effort went into the interior design in there. Family owned with a great staff. Food trucks swing by from time-to-time and there's plenty of room inside for large groups. Darts, board games, a mini Pac-man and a large Connect Four to pass the time. Great beer selection with Flghts and beer to-go options. A mug club with benefits! I'll be a regular...

Locals hangout with food truck service. Their IPA is very tasty. The pizza truck was as a bit overpriced for what it was. Would come again when in town.

Ok.  So a rare 5 star.  Especially for a brewery!  If you want great beer and great atmosphere find your way to this little place in an industrial complex. Nothing but beer and ales and porters and… no mixed drinks… just beer.  Food is provided by outside food trucks but they have really good popcorn inside! (Really good, no joke).  Family owned and operated.  Never been somewhere they had a selection of 6 different hazy IPA’s !  They recently brewed a “Christmas brew” with hints of white chocolate and peppermint.  Not sweet… just hints.   And it really works.  Outstanding. Friendly crowd (some kids there with parents) and really fun time.  If breweries are your thing, this is definitely a place to try !

Awesome friendly bartenders and great beer. It was a little bit loud in the place because they were doing music bingo the night I was there, but people seemed to be enjoying it. Just not my thing. There was also a Mexican food truck which looked pretty good but I had already had dinner. I tried their churros which were delicious although they took forever to get them out.

Pinnacle brewing has a fantastic Belgium Golden beer. Their Hefeweisen beer was almost great but was missing that extra something. My only complaint was that you only accepted cards for payment (no cash). Maybe you find this trendy or perhaps you don't trust your staff with a cash drawer but I find it annoying for people like myself who would rather pay in cash, tip in cash, than to have charges that I need to follow up on and have to deal with the dreaded tip screen swing around while an employee watches and waits. Cash is king, please change your policies.

Fire & Braids food truck is amazing! Hightened Mexican food topped with cojita cheese...I was really impressed with the tacos and nachos. Finally flavors that brought me back to authentic street tacos we would find in southern CA where 1st generation vendors had pickled onions and homemade salsa verde with the meat tasting like real grilled meat rather than mystery meat chunks (you know what I mean). Great job guys; I'll be back for more.

Stopped by here when I was in town for a conference.  Had two flights of beer. Not a bad one in the bunch. These guys know how to brew.  Nice bartender, great atmosphere. Recommend when in Scottsdale.

Love this place! Very chill atmosphere with a good variety of beers made by a very skilled brewmaster. One of the few breweries that has an owner/brewmaster that studied brewing in college and around the world. If you want a tasty beer and a place to relax and catch a game, this is the place to go! They also have food trucks on the patio!

Fantastic brewery.  So many great beers across multiple styles!  IPA, Belgian, lager, sours...there's something for all pallets. Definitely NOT a one trick pony. Some of the best local brews I've had. Huge patio and I food truck outside. Highly recommend you check them out

*Revised* Atmosphere has changed...not the fun place it was....Great Happy Hour specials, on the weekends too.. Sevice was fast and clean restrooms. Plenty of seating, music was great. Bartenders were fun. As first time visit, I will make a special trip to come here again.

We just randomly ended here for dinner. We had to go to a show, but we were hungry and this was the closest place for food. We got there close to closing time. But, the service was great and we didn’t feel rushed at all. I wanted the fish and chips but they were out. I settled for the chicken pasta dinner. It was good but, i’m not a bacon fan.

I always enjoy the food and beer special (2-6 4.00 taps), but had to consider the service when leaving this review. Sat at the bar with a couple of friends and the bartender was so distracted by a male customer she was talking to that it took her 3 trips back to the kitchen to deliver the correct requested condiment. If you’re working that should be your focus not chit chat with a regular/someone you’re interested in.

We stopped there before a show nearby. I was a bit disappointed they ran out of the imperial IPA, but I had the Teddy (another high alcohol IPA) and it was delicious. My girlfriend had an espresso martini and it was excellent. For food, I couldn't decide between a burger or wings, so I did both. The dry rub wings were perfectly cooked and delicious, and so was hamburger with gorgonzola and mushrooms. My girlfriend had the fish and child and it was great as well. Very well done. Service was excellent and the place is really cool. You should check it out if you're in the area, especially before a concert nearby.

A nice brewery with a large tap list with a wide variety of beers on tap, plus a full bar. Nice atmosphere with a variety of spray  paintings/art (?) all over the place.  Friendly fast service, hardly anyone in the place on a Wednesday afternoon. Big juicy burgers and nice fries.  The beers were all pretty good, the only downside is all beers at 7.5% or above  no more than a 13oz pour, so all double IPA's etc.. no pints , which was disappointing ( I've only seen small pours when the beers hit 10% or are rare).  Pretty good cocktails, outdoor seating but way too hot in Phoinex.
