I visited Future Days in the spring and could not have been more impressed! The atmosphere is so aesthetically pleasing and inviting. My friends and I sat at the bar and tasted a flight of their beers - I genuinely loved them all. I can’t wait to visit again when I’m back in Philly!

Had an amazing time at future days. Staff was super accommodating. Place was spacious, unique and the beers were delicious. We did end up buying a lot of merchandise as well. We are so glad we made the trip to Future Days this past weekend!! The vibes were so cozy while we sipped on some great beer!! The Kolsch is smooth and an easy drinking beer. If you live anywhere in or near the Philly area, Future Days is a must. The owners, the space, the beer - all fantastic. It’s such a great spot to meet up with friends (there’s plenty of seating upstairs), but also perfect if you’re looking for something more low-key. The design of the space make it feel so warm and cozy, like you want to hang out there all day. And the beer? It’s genuinely my favorite in the whole city, and that says a lot!

Another great stop on our self-guided brewery tour of Fishtown.  Lost Time had IMO the best Irish Stout outside of Ireland. It was creamy, smoothe, and flavorful with no bitterness.
They did not have flights but offered half pours.
The place was bright and welcoming, and the staff was efficient during a busy time. They had a solo guitarist when we were there, which created a great atmosphere.
For non-beer drinkers, they had plenty of seltzers, a cider, NA ginger beer, and draft magaritas.
Definitely visit Lost Time if you're in Fishtown!

We had to go a bit out of our way for this one but im glad we did.  It has some great beers, cool atmosphere and friendly staff that made it a worth while stop.  We like a good hazy and they definitly had some.  They even had some funkier  ones which i kind of liked as well.  The hazys were complex and fruity which hit the spot in the heat.  They even had some good boardgames if I remember right.  The bartenders and us hit it off and they were quick with anything we needed.  Overall a really cool brewery that's worth a stop

Being a huge Rocky fan it was a must to go visit Mighty Mick's gym. When I got there it was a great surprise to find out it became a bar. Great atmosphere, Mickeys Lager was amazing, owners were very cordial and welcoming. Anyone visiting or living in Philly needs to stop by Lost Time and check it out. 👍🥊🍺

Absolutely amazing place. We were over in Philidelphia for the Rocky tour and visited the bar. The staff and patrons were extremely friendly and we couldn't have been treated better; we actually stumbled on a 30th birthday party when we were there and got invited in. The place was clean, tidy and everyone was having a fun time. Great beers, great atmosphere, great staff and great people. A fantastic addition to the area. Highly, highly recommended for a night out and for fans of Rocky.

Tony and Rick stopped by here during the Rocky Run weekend in Philly. Such a great place, clean, nice vibe, Mickey's Lager was delicious, and the owners Matt and Andrew went out of their way to make us feel at home. Definitely stop by Lost Time when you are in Philly. We had such a great experience, especially when we were trying to enjoy a celebration with our toddler along for the ride. Everyone was so considerate and accommodating. It was a very special birthday celebration for my husband. The beer did not disappoint and there are an array of alcoholic beverages to choose from. The food was absolutely amazing and really great options. There was even a kids menu. We loved everything about our experience and will absolutely be returning customers. Came in around 1 PM on a Friday, greeted right away with a smile and given menus. Bar was full but didn’t feel crowded, and there were plenty of tables open. Started with the Brawler smooth, easy English mild. Wings were solid, and the two guys behind the bar were friendly and on point. My wife and I like to find local Breweries when we travel. We flew into Philly and had some time to kill so we stopped into Yards to grab some lunch.  Everything was really good. The outside sign and rating had me pretty excited to check this place out but the beers and inside atmosphere were not quite as good as it was expecting.  They were still good but just not as good as it was expecting.

Some of the highlights were the great staff who were super helpful and friendly.  The selection was sizable and the value was pretty decent.

The inside was huge ceilings with tones of tables close together with games playing on TVs all around.  I know philly is a big sports city but it's not usually my thing.

After a few samples we went with the hazies which were pretty decent.  They were fresh and light but not actually super hazy.

Had a great time at Yards Brewery. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming with genuine smiles something that is hard to see. I ordered a flight of beers and especially loved the darker ones. Our waiter was super helpful and recommended one that turned out to be awesome. The food was also fantastic with great flavors. Thinking about going back again today. Highly recommend.

A fantastic brewery and sandwich spot. The staff are efficient, welcoming, and provide a fun atmosphere. Their beers are superb. I’d suggest any of their lagers, but they also have some IPA options available.
Don’t leave without trying a “milk tube” or another option from their ‘side pull’ taps.
I’ve also been to a couple of their events (Log Jammin’ and Oktoberfest) and had a blast.

After being on my list of breweries to check out for almost a year, my husband and I finally made it to Attic Brewing Company last night for happy hour. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had an extensive list of cocktails in addition to beer, so there’s something for everyone. We ordered a couple of rounds and ate some light snacks before getting BBQ from Deke’s next door. Everything we had was great and the bartenders were all very friendly. Brewery ARS is a small, quaint brewery on Passyunk with some phenomenal beer. We parked a few blocks away on our first visit, and we were a little surprised by the location and inconspicuous facade. However, the beers do not disappoint. They truly crush the hazy, juicy IPA trend, and add a little originality without a heap of fruit or sweetness.

They seating area is small and it’s truly no frills; no music or tall stack of games. They are dog friendly, and offer the occasional food truck and a small menu of snacks. Highly recommend for true beer lovers!

Cartesian Brewing

Just a short walk from Pat’s, Geno’s, and Dough Head, Cartesian Brewing is the kind of down-and-dirty neighborhood spot we absolutely love. The vibe is unpolished in the best way—mismatched furniture, tables made from old doors, and a no-frills charm that feels lived-in and local. The beertender and regulars were incredibly welcoming, and it’s the kind of place we’d be at weekly if we lived nearby.

The Audacity Fruit Punch stood out big time—it’s what we’d call a “juicy juice beer”. True to its name, it’s bright, fruity, and tart, bursting with cherry, pineapple, and tangerine like the adult version of a childhood juice box.

PIZZA LOVERS! They have a pizza oven, but it’s not always fired up, so check their Instagram before banking on a pie. If its not open, highly recommend Dough Head. Either way, Cartesian is a Philly gem we’d happily revisit.

I wasn’t a fan of the beer I got, but it’s beer, and no one likes every beer they drink, so it’s no reason to count off in a review. The brewery was neat with a good number of seats. A group of 9 of us went to Meyers Brewing today.  They have a very interesting selection beers, and the general concensus was that they were very good.  I especially like the Scottish Ale and the Heben Weisen (I probably got that name wrong).  It's a small but comfortable place with a nice upstairs area. This is a staple hangout spot for my friends and I finally got a chance to check it out and I was impressed. We visited Meyers Brewing with a group of senior citizen beer fans.  We each picked four beers (or ciders) for our flights and sat upstairs, where it was very quiet and allowed for conversation.  We enjoyed many different beers---lagers, IPA and hazy IPAs. sours, stouts, Hefeweizen and Scottish ale.  CJ runs the place as a staff of one and does an amazing job.  We would love to return for some of their events such as Quizzo and comedy evenings. This is also a favorite hangout for the neighborhood's dogs, who seem to be regulars (and they definitely recommend the beer at Meyers).  The food truck that was outside on the day of our visit was Mexican, and the food was amazing. This is really a fun and hospitable place.  Don't miss it.

This rather small, hole in the wall type brewery is not a spot to be missed. They have comedy shows upstairs with very limited seating, so I recommend buying tickets beforehand if you want to go. Everyone working there was incredibly kind and gave fantastic service. They have flights and I loved all of the beer I tried. Everything was easy to drink and they have many lighter ABV content drinks. They have a decent variety of beers, so there is something for everyone. I would definitely buy a 6 pack. Highly recommend and I look forward to coming back!

We LOVE here. It’s truly the local bar with good beer and friendly staffs. My favorite beer is Vienna Lager. And the barbecue ribs we tried last weekend were top notch. I don’t know if the barbecue thing other than liberty kitchen is regular, but it was so good and goes really well with beer.

I had a fantastic experience today at Two Locals Brewery. It was my first visit, but certainly not my last! The atmosphere was relaxed and tidy, with ample seating available. The food from Liberty Kitchen arrived quickly, served hot and exactly as ordered—absolutely delicious. The service was prompt, and great they had great attention to detail and made it a point to actually engage you. I tried the “Good Jawn,” which was mild and went down smoothly—it was excellent. This venue exudes the charm of a local bar, perfect for close friends to unwind, yet it's situated right in the bustling heart of the city. You’ll enjoy this place too!

Two Locals Brewing is a great brewery tucked away in University City. The beer and food is excellent. The Nubian beer was amazing. I was surprised by how good the hoagies were, as well. Everything is quality ingredients making it fresh and flavorful. I will be back to visit soon and you should too!

I saw some beer available to purchase for take-home.
If you visit and are not a fan of beer. There are a few other options for drinking. It's not a large selection probably due to the fact they recently opened this year (Jan 24’)  but they have considered those who may not prefer beer or want both.
Food is made to order.
Even though the location is near the universities- when I went (which was a weekend) it was more family-friendly, with adult professionals, groups of 2-4, and no college students.
They have a few TV screens and a few board games.

We stumbled upon this place on the way back from the Museum of Art and thought it looked good so we checked it out. I had the coconut siracha wings with the the calamari app and my wife had a salad bowl with salmon. We were both very happy with our meals. Super tasty and good size portions. Stopped in for a few craft beers while exploring Philly. Tons of beer on tap and the IPA’s that I had were good. The atmosphere here is pretty top notch with worn brick, hanging lights, and colored lighting in their brewing area at night.  It was pretty popular but there were plenty of seats so there was no wait.  That dude mean it was a bit loud but a lot of breweries and bars are around the time we went.

The beer itself was pretty decent with a variety of choices and flight options.  We went with their standard flight choice which had a stout, pilsner, loger, and ipa I believe.  While most weren't my style, I knew that going into it and they seemed good for what they were.

The staff was pretty friendly and acomidating.  We didnt feel like we had to wait very long and they checked in on us regularly.

Overall for the atmosphere alone I would say to check this one out.

Love this brewery. Moved here from Denver in January where breweries are pretty much on every block, and good ones at that. Googled “breweries” when we arrived and have been loving this spot ever since. Their beers are fantastic and the service is always so friendly. They have food trucks I think every day and in the mornings it’s a coffee shop. I mean, how can you go wrong? Just stay here all day! I haven’t been here when they have yoga or music yet but plan to. One of my top spots to grab a drink in Philadelphia by far! Try the Kolsch, it is a German style beer..I recommend it, it is very very good! The people who serve your drinks are very nice and friendly as well! There is also merchandise available and food trucks stop by often!

When i think of a solid, amazing, highly recommended Philadelphia local beer to go have, I always think of anything from Wissahickon Brewery.
My personal favorite is the Devil's Pool. Its easily the Double IPA that I judge all other Double IPA's by.

The actual location and atmosphere is just amazing. The bartenders and staff are amazing and friendly, it's a great location for both a happy hour, a party, and a sports game.

I had the Bancroft beer. It was a wonderful pale ale. Great mosaic flavour and really light alcohol for the amount of body and taste. Happy hour was very reasonably priced. I got the Smashburger, and as shown in the picture, it is a hamburger nicely dressed. I don’t think it’s quite fitting into the Smashburger category as Patty is just a bit too thick and not a ton of caramelization from the actual smashing I would totally try this place again especially happy hour. The bathroom is really nice and they did have a spot that they’re obviously letting people do the graffiti on which is the door so that people don’t tag up the walls.

Really solid brewery. We came here for a midday drink to do some work on a Sunday and it was super quiet. The space itself isn't huge but there are plenty of tables and table options. Bathroom area is quite large. The draft menu is fine, always on the hunt for IPAs and the 6 feet below was much better than the hazy IPA (the latter of which I didn't care for). Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Easy parking nearby and overall a very accessible experience. We didn't order food but those that did smelled tasty. What a fun and impressive brewery. Clearly an popular place and lots of activity.
The decor is well done and welcoming. The various options for seating allows for big groups, solo seating at the bar and small tables for more intimate gatherings. The beer selection was good though our beers did not blow us away.

Great, trendy restaurant in Fairmount. Being within a 10 minute walk from both The Met and Eastern State Penitentiary, it makes a great lunch or dinner location for a day out on the town.

This was an excellent "pre-game" choice for a concert at the Met. 10-15 minute walk from the venue.

I knocked a star off for the food. It was good. But for $27 I got a hamburger with an egg and bacon on it with a side salad. The burger was ordered medium. It was very thin and fell apart when I put my fork in it. The egg was well done, which I guess I should have asked for over easy? The idea is to have yolk run down into the juicy burger patty.  I got neither.

But the side salad and dressing was delicious. And the bacon was done perfectly.

The price of the food did NOT match the quality of the food. But maybe we are paying for atmosphere.

Go for happy hour so it's discounted.

And the music fit the crowd. Kudos to the manager who knew the concert and played music for the crowd.

Stopped in to pick up an order. Parking is tricky. There's no parking structure and very few spots on the street.
The space is large and welcoming.  There's an actual beer garden where the purchased beer (and other consumables) can be enjoyed.  Lots of local beers on tap. Really great place to eat, drink, have a party, whatever! I was really surprised by how much seating they had inside and outside. Our server David provided exceptional service guiding us through the menu and accommodating our food preferences. Apparently David is a talented eater as well, he flexed that he could eat a whole pizza by himself! The food was really good for a brewery, floating on that line of being a gastro pub. The Arancini were exceptional! The whipped ricotta, basil, and tomato sauce created a wonderful combination on my palette. Philly Brewing Company is a great sweet spot bar in East Kensington. The beer selection isn't the biggest and food isn't served but it really makes up for it by having a amazing ambiance for individual or group outings. With spacious options for both indoor and outside seating if you're out and about and want a quick drink or if you're looking to chill with people you'll find plenty of space to relax.

Another notable thing about the bar, the frequently serve for local functions in the area. If you follow them in social media, if there's a event in East be it a thrift event, pride, or anything else, Philly Brew will be serving the function.

They're also very pet friendly! Dog treats are available at the bar so it's definitely worth stopping by if you dog needs a snack break!

TLDR: Beer selection is to be desired but the variance of seating space, frequency of events, pet friendlyness and general vibe makes it up in spades!

We used Philadelphia Brewing company as the starting point for a self-guided brewery walking tour of Fishtown. On a cold Saturday in April the place was hardly buzzing, with a few random couples scattered about the main room.
I got a flight, which included their Kenzinger, Space Cowboy IPA, Working Cat Pale Ale, and the Pennsylvania Pale Ale. The Space Cowboy and Working Cat were both solid as was the Kenzinger. My 4/5 rating is based primarily on the beers, which were solid, just not great.
Overall, the place had a cozy vibe with a fire going. I definitely would like to come back and see this place on a peak weekend when the outside  beer garden and patio are hopping.
The staff was friendly, and they have options beyond beer, including several ciders from Commonwealth Ciders (which is next door), wine, and mixed drinks.
PBC is definitely worth a stop on any visit to Fishtown.

We had our wedding there in December, and Angela was gracious, kind, flexible, and helpful every step of the way—a true pro. I really wanted to like this place. My boyfriend and I were walking around Fishtown and decided to pop into Philadelphia Brewing Company because it looked like a fun, welcoming spot. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but.

When we arrived, we took a few minutes to look over the menu since I'm not a big beer drinker and wasn’t sure what to order. We let the bartender know, and she asked us to step aside while she helped someone else — totally understandable. But once we were ready, things quickly went downhill.

My boyfriend placed his order, and I asked if I could sample a few beers to see if there was something I might like. The bartender rolled her eyes and asked what I usually drink. I told her tequila, and she asked, “Well, what do you like with your tequila?” I mentioned margaritas and offered to look at the cocktail list so I could make it easy — but instead of being helpful, she told me to just “keep my order simple” and avoid asking for anything complicated. That wasn’t my intention at all — I was just trying to find something I’d enjoy. Her attitude made me feel like I was being a burden for even asking.

After we placed our order, she asked if we’d be sitting inside or outside. We said outside. She began making the drinks without telling us we needed to stay and pick them up. When my boyfriend asked how it usually works, she rolled her eyes again and said, “I dont walk out the drinks to you.”

We had never been here before, and the lack of hospitality completely ruined what could’ve been a great first visit. I didn’t even end up drinking my margarita because I was so put off. We left pretty quickly after that.

There are too many great places in Philly with friendly staff and good energy — this wasn’t one of them. Disappointed.

This is a super special place.  The staff are the friendliest you'll find around and the food is just flat out spectacular.  You'll note in the photos that it's not possible to get a picture of an entire Flammenkuche pizza because it's so good nobody will wait until the pic is taken.  The line dancing twice a month on Tuesdays is terrific and lively, and the instructors and DJ are too notch. Kudos to one of the best places we've ever visited.

Went for the first time for “survivor night” on Wednesday, which was so fun! The drinks were great and they have such a cute space. DSB is a great expression of all things Philly. Authentic, not pretentious, serious about its food and drink, but not fru fru. Come here to be real, be passionate about your food and drink. The food is gastronomy based, meaning, it's everything you recognize, but with an added flair of culinary inventiveness, and that's appreciated. Its also very, very good. The beers are fresh, delicious, whimsical and above all flavorful. The space, at Washington Av, is industrial minimalism, but comfortable enough to spaz out and enjoy a cocktail, a meal, or the company you might be keeping. Riding solo? Pull up to the bar, people from all walks of life are here, sharing in the experience of gathering together, celebrating or lamenting life, your mood is where the conversation takes you. Dock Street has a nice neighborhood feel, yet everyone is welcome. No one yelled Norm, but you'd be sure to hear a Go Birds, if you hang around long enough. DSB feels like the city, expressing itself via good food and great beer. Yup, it's a thing, a good thing.

The atmosphere was nice, chill, and friendly.
The food was good! We ordered a cheeseburger and fries, a skirt steak salad that had an amazing balsamic mustard vinaigrette, as well as the brick oven cheese pizza.
We ordered The Art Degree & Her Sisters a Witch as our drinks and they were both very tasty!
Over all I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Good place to hang with friends for a chill vibe.

My husband and I booked our pre-wedding event here, and it was amazing! The space is beautiful— lots of natural lighting, plenty of seating, and a pool table. I really appreciated how easy the event coordinator Renata made it for us to book the space so last minute and how flexible she was. The food and drinks were amazing, and everything flowed so naturally. Lots of veggie options too. Everyone was really kind and professional.
