A local bar on a street with towing and car businesses. A hidden gem! Beer selection was good, food menu is delicious and a wide variety of pizzas, definitely try the birria pizza, not pictured is the bbq chicken! There’s also a ping pong and darts area in the back. It’s a great place for good beer and pizza!

Always enjoy a beer a local brewery - there’s just something special about having a beer brewed onsite. Unfortunately, MacLeod’s seems to have largely shuttered its brewing operations and moved on to have a long list of guest beers. Huge bummer, especially if you were a cask ale fan.

It’s a shame - many know that there really aren’t a ton of breweries in the Valley, especially not in this area. Ultimately, there is a great selection of brewpubs/beer bars throughout the valley that have exceptional beers on tap. Would love to see MacLeod’s go back to what it was, but until then, pour one out for the good times.

One of my favorite places in Van Nuys. It’s so cool. Especially if you love craft beer. The food is inexpensive and incredibly delicious.

Park in the neighborhood and walk or take an Uber because it is located in the middle of a bunch of tow yards and industrial complexes. Parking is impossible.

April 2025 Update: They no longer brew beer and are just in the process of turning into a beer bar. Disappointing. If they are handy to you, go for it as I’m sure it’ll be decent, but if you’re like me, there’s a bunch of great bars closer. I only made the effort and traveled there for the craft brewery aspect. had an amazing time at Common Space Brewery! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors-perfect for groups, families, or just hanging out solo. The brewery is dog- and kid-friendly, which makes it an easy choice for any occasion.
The beer selection is excellent, with a strong lineup of IPAs, but also some great lighter options like their helles and pilseners. My personal favorite was the Food Fight Hazy IPA, but everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. They also rotate in creative and unique brews, so there’s always something new to try.
What really stood out was the staff-everyone was friendly and helpful, and even when it got busy, the service was solid. The brewery regularly hosts food trucks, offering a variety of delicious options to pair with your beer, and there are always TVs showing the latest games, making it a perfect spot to catch sports with friends.
There’s ample parking, a relaxed vibe, and lots of fun extras like board games and cornhole. Whether you’re there for a casual drink, a private event, or to pre-game before a concert, Common Space Brewery delivers every time. Highly recommend checking it out-can’t wait to come back!

Great spot tucked back in an industrial area of Hawthorne. Mix of West Coast IPAs, Hazys, with some light and darks mixed in. Huge outdoor seating at picnic tables covered by umbrellas. Plenty of parking. Fun vibe with loud music and friendly staff.

Did a little research and found this highly rated brewery near LAX. Sampled three hazy IPAs and a West Coast style IPA. All were nice and light. Not heavy nor danky.

There were two food options in the back. One had burgers and fries. The other had chicken wings and fries. We went with the wings! Paired well with the 🍺.

Seating was available inside and outside on the patio. Was a nice spot to hang out. DJ started blasting music at 7pm. So was hard to hear any conversations.

Overall, good spot to enjoy a 🍻 and food.

First time there. Sitting there for an hour, got a pitcher and some food and this guy (Andrew) said we have to move because there’s a private event going on. Which I understand but he literally asked us to move NOW asap, and now we were scrambling to find a table with 2 pitchers full glasses, a lot of food and no tables and space to eat and drink. Completely unprofessional……in the future let us know in advance to move out of the way prior to us settling.

We had our daughter’s 3rd birthday party at Common Space’s launchpad area. We rented a soft play setup and it was a HUGE success - with both kids and parents! Kids had a blast playing and parents had a blast drinking Common Space’s exceptional beers. Staff was communicative and super helpful. Will probably just get a bunch of parents to pitch in and throw another party because it was so fun!

Always a relaxing time at our very own community brewery. Friday night Karaoke is super fun for friends and family.  A very nice variety of yummy food trucks are there to feed the masses. Plenty of seating and a nice casual open atmosphere that isn’t too loud that you can’t carry on conversations. The variety of beers is excellent. Would be great if they had a bottle of white wine on hand for non beer drinkers.

Very chill place to hang out. There were a lot of board games to choose from. Played some old school music 🎵.

Hosted my opening day party here this past Oscar Sunday. It was the perfect place, staff is really cool and the space is very chill. Good selection of beers and seltzers. All of my guests had a great time, definitely would go back to host another get-together. Also, they had a movie night the week before, apparently they have them once a month, and it was so cute. Aside from an event, it really is just a nice place to hang out!

I absolutely love coming to Brewyard for the great beer, exciting events, but most importantly the people (both staff and patrons alike). The folks here are like a second family to me!

They are always pushing the envelope with new and innovative beers by introducing elements of their Filipino roots!

Looking for a laid-back yet memorable experience? On a quick birthday celebration for my little one, I decided to make a pit stop at Lawless Brewing Co., and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. It felt like reconnecting with family in your backyard—relaxed, nostalgic, and full of good vibes.

On the bartender’s recommendation, I started with the Bikini Bottom sour ale, a delightful mix of orange and pineapple flavors. It was refreshing, tangy, and the perfect way to kick off the visit. The brewery’s rustic, industrial charm was captivating, and seeing the brewing process in action added a unique, behind-the-scenes touch to the experience. It’s exciting yet calming—a true escape.

As for the food made an incredible food truck it was a treat! I ordered chicken tacos that were absolutely phenomenal, a chicken quesadilla that hit all the right notes, and a side of perfectly crispy fries. Everything was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced.

If you’re in the North Hollywood area, Lawless Brewing Co. is a must-visit. Great beer, amazing food, and a vibe that makes you feel right at home. I’d give it a solid 9.5/10 and can’t wait to return!

A solid brewery in North Hollywood with a welcoming environment. Solid choice of beers and some wines.

I had their michelada beer and red wine. Both were very good and it was a great place to gather with friends. Location is pretty remote but out of the busy areas and it's a quiet area.  The outside patio has yard games and other board games.  The heaters are a great too.

I'd definitely come back again to try their other adult beverages.

By far one of my favorite brewery hangout spots in the Los Angeles area!

Located in North Hollywood by the NoHo Arts District, it is a great space both inside and outside for hanging out and taking part in various community events and activities that are often held here!

I love the beer flights you can order for around $15-20 with four different beer/wine/seltzers - that way I can try new ones while also enjoying a few of my tried-and-true staples!

Everyone here is always very friendly, welcoming, and I've stopped by for various different events throughout the year.
They occasionally have a little vegan food fair in the parking lot outside of the brewery, and there's also other marketplaces and activities from week-to-week.

A true Los Angeles hidden gem in NoHo - I really hope they are able to stick around for a while!
Definitely be sure to pay them a visit - I'm certain you'll enjoy it!

I attend an event at Lawless Brewing company once a month and the food is good from the trucks that we have in the parking lot. The service is amazing! And the location and atmosphere is a reason that it's place I'm happy to go.
The only caveat I have is that it could use some more parking. It gets a large crowd at least  when our event is there and it would be nice if there was more parking. But as for the brewery itself, it's brilliant

If you’re a beer lover, this is the spot for you. They also have food trucks outside offering pizza and sandwiches. The service is attentive, and I really enjoyed the outdoor seating had a nice ambiance. It's also a great place to catch a game. I’ll definitely be coming back!

No free snacks were provided, and the paid snacks were near-expiry packaged foods. The selection of craft beers was very limited—about five types. The beer looked quite cloudy and the flavor was fairly rich. The indoor scent from aromatherapy had a strong impact on the sense of smell, making it feel more like a spa than a tasting room. Not worth a second visit.

Great little brewery. Menu changes constantly to provide you with a variety of beers. They serve about 8-10 different beers that they brew themselves.

One of my favorite breweries! Located very conveniently in downtown Alhambra. Cute outdoor seating, delicious beer, kind staff and free snackies! Can’t recommend this place enough, we loved the beer so much that we took crowlers home. Parking is very easy, go to one of the free parking structures nearby and walk over to Ohana. Haven’t had a beer I disliked here yet - a great omen! Can’t wait to come back 😊

The new tap room in Culver City is really nice. Ample sized indoor space with an outdoor area as well. They don't have a kitchen going, but there is a food truck outside, right next to the "Ivy Station" Expo Line stop. Different trucks are there on different days. With 25 beers on tap there are plenty of options for all types of palates out there. Restrooms are super clean as well, so bonus points. And the entire staff was very friendly and attentive.
